Problem
Getting a renovation quote is slow and opaque. Homeowners needed a clear path from services → quotation type → cost preview without calling multiple contractors first.
Research
- Mapped homeowner jobs: browse trades, request estimate, review breakdown, share/download.
- Studied service-category IA (painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) for scan speed.
- Kept material vs labour vs tax as separate trust blocks on preview.
Process
- Designed a welcoming home with promo, service chips, AI quotation CTA, and recent quotes.
- Built quotation-type selection with radio cards and an “Other” free-text path.
- Crafted preview with room detail, cost stacks, AR video and PDF download actions.
- Anchored navigation around Home, Quotations, Marketplace, and Profile.
Solution
